When we talk about lift design, we talk mostly about lift door, lift cabin and maybe a glass shaft - the parts that you see when you stand in front of your lift. The other lift parts, that you cannot see, doesn´t matter if the ride is smooth. How to choose design of your lift to have an enjoyable ride in it?

Average lift for four stories building has approximately 50 000 trips per year, if one ride in such lift lasts 20 seconds, it means that people spend in lift together 45 minutes per day and 11,5 days per year (or 23 days per year for 8 stories building). That is why we think it is worth to take your time and carefully choose design of your lift.

Lift cabin is and always will be a big box, that is given. But there are many things you can choose to feel good in it:

Materials and colours which you can choose from:

1. If you want cheap solution and don’t care about design
Choose a lift cabin from steel sheet PLALAM – it is galvanized steel sheet with PVC surface on the top + protective film.

2. If you want happy medium
You can choose walls from two layers – galvanized steel sheet + decorative laminate POLYREY, which is hardened, abrasion resistant and high temperature resistant material (more than 200 colours and motives)

3. Glass design is a unique treat for the eyes. Glass design is a modern technology that enables you to put your own photo or any other motive inside of your lift walls.

Glass design is timeless, always elegant and modern solution for lifts. It is a technology, that can put any motive or photography between two glass panels. Endless possibilities for design of your own lift. Even your own photo can be your lift wall.

Lift equipment and control panel

What should you find inside your lift cabin: Pushbuttons in stainless steel control panel, mirror, handle, LED lightning with nice motive and in a building with many older people you might consider adding also a seat there.

Lift cabin equipment – mirror, handle, seat and control panel with antivandal pushbuttons. The cabin lighting is usually composed of LED fixtures with a diffuser and a heat sink for long lifespan. You can choose from several patterns in silver color.

Lift door should match a design of your building

Enjoy your lift before you even enter a lift cabin. Choose an interesting door colour and match your door also with design of building.
Automatic doors are more comfortable than hand operated door and they ensures that you get on and off smoothly. Choosing automatic door is comfortable solution, however if there is not enough space in shaft, other option is hand operated door.
Door can be made from stainless steel or steel sheet with many RAL colours.
